IV– COACHES AND ASSISTANTS
Section 1.
coaches AND ASSISTANTS
The Board of Directors shall approve all coaches to work
with the various groups of skaters. The
Board of Directors shall have the authority over coaches in all matters
concerning skaters.
- A
coaching committee made up of all coaches and assistant coaches will be
established at the beginning of the hockey season.
One coach shall volunteer to serve as chairman of the committee.
The committee shall function as follows:
- To
develop the coaching guidelines in cooperation with the Board of Directors
and to ensure that these guideline are followed throughout the year.
- To
acknowledge all complaints from players, parents and coaches and
effectively resolve these complaints keeping the best interest of the
hockey program in mind at all times.
- A
Board member shall be appointed to act as liaison between the coaching
committee and the Richland Youth Hockey Board of Directors.
All complaints will be directed to the coaching committee and not to
the coach
- The
Board will consult with coaches on the movement of skaters to older age
groups.
- Coaches
shall be responsible for arranging for their own replacement in their
absence. The coaching committee
and the Board liaison shall be notified of the absence and substitution.
- Coaches
shall maintain order and conduct practices in such a manner as to create
interest for all players.
- Coaches
shall identify skill levels in players and do everything possible to develop
all players.
- Coaches
shall be held responsible for all disciplinary action taken with players.
- Coaches
shall be responsible for insuring that all players are notified of games
well in advance and that adequate numbers of players are available to play
those games.
SECTION 2. REMOVAL
The Board of Directors shall have the power to remove any
coach who does not abide by the coaching guidelines of Richland Youth Hockey
and/or USA hockey Standards.
